Chicken Kebab Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet (breast) – 4 pcs.
  • Bulgarian red pepper – 1 pc.
  • Bulgarian yellow pepper – 1 pc.
  • Red onion – 1 pc.
  • Dried ginger – 1 tbsp
  • Dried garlic – 1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Sesame oil – 2 tbsp
  • Sugar – 0.5 tbsp

Chicken Kebab Instructions

  1. Cut 4 chicken breast fillets into small bite-sized pieces.
  2. Mix dried ginger (1 tbsp), dried garlic (1 tbsp), soy sauce (2 tbsp), sesame oil (2 tbsp), and sugar (0.5 tbsp) in a bowl.
  3. Add chicken pieces to the marinade, toss to coat, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. While chicken marinates, cut red and yellow peppers into roughly 1.5-2 cm squares.
  5. Cut red onion into quarters and gently separate each quarter into individual petals.
  6. Preheat oven to 200°C (392°F).
  7. Thread chicken pieces, pepper squares, and onion petals alternately onto long skewers.
  8. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and place skewers on it.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Flip skewers and bake for 10-20 minutes more until chicken reaches 74°C (165°F) at the thickest part.
  11. Optional: turn on grill or broil function for the final 5 minutes for a crispier exterior.
  12. Serve hot with fresh herbs or salad.
