Chicken Quiche with a Creamy Sauce with Grilled Zucchini

Quiche or quiche pie is a traditional French dish that is a type of homemade baked goods. At its core, a quiche is an open pie with a filling. In turn, an open pie in cooking is understood as a type of baked goods that is stuffed with both sweet and meat, vegetable or fish fillings.

Ingredients

  • chicken fillet 300 g
  • onion 1 pc.
  • zucchini or young zucchini 2 pcs.
  • cream 20% 150 g
  • egg 2 pcs.
  • egg (protein) 1 pc.
  • hard cheese 80 g
  • nutmeg, thyme, salt, pepper to taste
  • vegetable oil Altero Vitality 2 tbsp
  • flour 250 g
  • butter 150 g
  • egg (yolk) 1 pc.

Directions

  1. Cut 150 g of cold butter into cubes, rub with flour and a pinch of salt. Add yolk, 2 tbsp ice water, knead the dough. Roll into a ball, cover, and refrigerate for 20 minutes. Roll out the dough into a circle, cover it with a mold and make punctures on the surface with a fork, and place in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 8 minutes.
  2. Peel the onion, cut into half rings, fry with thyme in Altero vegetable oil until golden brown, add the chicken fillet, cut into small cubes and cook for 5 minutes. Salt.
  3. Put the chicken and onion in a pie, pour-over with a mixture of 2 eggs, protein, cream, cheese, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Return to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  4. At this time, cut the zucchini into very thin circles and fry in a grill pan in a mixture of Altero Vitality butter and vegetable oil on both sides, for 2 minutes. Put the zucchini on the finished quiche, season with salt. Decorate the pie with zucchini flower and thyme.
