Chocolate-Covered Prunes

Chocolate-covered prunes – soft candies with dried fruits and nuts. This recipe for homemade sweets – with prunes, raisins, walnuts. Using different types of dried fruits, nuts and chocolate in the manufacture of sweets, we can get new varieties of sweets every time.

Ingredients

  • Pitted prunes – 125 g
  • Raisins – 75 g
  • Walnuts, peeled – 150 g
  • Black chocolate – 100 g
  • Cognac – 20 g
  • Butter – 20 g

Directions

  1. If the dried fruits are soft and fresh, just rinse them with water. If they are dry, pour the prunes and raisins with boiling water and keep them until the water cools down. Grind the nuts with a blender. (If the capacity of the blender allows, we immediately load nuts, dried fruits and cognac into it.) Grind the walnuts moderately, not to the point of “dust”. We load prunes squeezed from water into a blender. We interrupt.
  2. Grind the raisins next. (If we use dried fruits of the same size, for example, prunes and dried apricots, then we process them together.) We combine crushed products with cognac. Mix everything until a sticky, loose mass.
  3. From the resulting mass, roll balls between the palms. We put them on a board covered with edible paper. Put in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. Break the chocolate into a suitable container, add butter. Melt the chocolate and butter over low heat or in a water bath, stirring until smooth. Dip balls of dried fruits and nuts in melted chocolate. To do this, put the ball in a bowl of chocolate, then prick the ball on a toothpick, remove it from the chocolate and put it back on the board with paper. Put chocolates with prunes, raisins and nuts in the refrigerator for about an hour.
  4. We put homemade “Prunes in chocolate” sweets on a plate – chilled sweets can be easily removed from the paper – and enjoy natural homemade sweets.
