Ingredients

  • 1 neck or high rib beef steak (s) (chuck eye steak)
  • 2 onions)
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 1 bottle black beer
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika powder
  • 1 tablespoon thyme

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl for the marinade and add all the spices and the peeled and quartered onion. Peel the garlic cloves as well and just press firmly. Pour the black beer into the bowl and mix everything well.
  2. Unpack the chuck eye steak and let it rest in the marinade for a good 8 hours. Take the steak out after the time and place it on the preheated grill. Now grill for 2 minutes on both sides.
  3. Remove the steak from the grill, place it on a wooden board and cover it with a lid so that it can stretch a little.
  4. Place a cast pan - or another one that is suitable for the grill - on the grill and reduce the marinade by half.
  5. Serve the chuck eye steak with just a few onions and the reduced marinade. An absolute must if you not only like beef, but are also really into thyme.
