Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 1 pinch baking powder
  • 100 g suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 pinch cardamom
  • 1 pinch clove powder
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 125 g butter, soft
  • 100 g couverture, (dark couverture) and colorful suar sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour and baking powder and sift into a bowl. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar, spices, egg and butter and quickly knead everything into a smooth dough. If it sticks, wrap the dough in foil and put it in the fridge for a while.
  2. Roll out the dough thinly in portions on a lightly floured work surface and cut out stars in 2 different sizes, the same number of each size, and place on baking sheets lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 10 minutes, then let it cool down.
  3. Melt the couverture in a hot water bath. Brush the large stars with it, place the small ones on them so that the chocolate tips of the lower stars can be seen, sprinkle them with sugar sprinkles and let them dry.
  4. Well packaged, the stars can be kept for 3-4 weeks.
