Cookies “Red Velvet”

Delicate heart cookies by February 14th. Cookies “Red Velvet” – moderately sweet, soft, and crumbly inside, with a crispy marble crust. Very tasty and beautiful cookies in the form of hearts for Valentine’s Day!

Ingredients

  • Butter – 100 g
  • Eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Sugar – 160 g
  • Wheat flour – 300 g
  • Cocoa powder – 1 tbsp
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/3 teaspoon
  • Food red dye (I have liquid) – 1-2 teaspoon
  • Powdered sugar – 80 g

Directions

  1. All ingredients should be at room temperature. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt.
  2. Put the softened butter in another bowl, add sugar, vanilla sugar, beat until fluffy.
  3. Then add one egg at a time and continue beating until smooth.
  4. Add the dye to the resulting mass, mix. The color that the dough will have will be the result of finished products. Gradually add dry ingredients, mix until smooth. The dough will be quite thick. Cover the finished dough with cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour. The chilled dough will make cookies easier to form.
  5. We form small balls, give them an elongated conical shape. On the wide side in the center, cut out a small triangle with a knife, give the liver a heart shape. Then roll in powdered sugar. You can also leave the cookies in the form of balls. Put on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. We bake cookies in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for 13-15 minutes.
