Cream Cheese Donuts

Cream cheese donuts are a great recipe for a snack or dessert. Donuts are prepared quickly and from available products. Cheese donuts are moderately sweet and soft.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Processed cheese – 100 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Flour – 200 g
  • Lemon juice – 10 ml
  • Soda – on the tip of a knife
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 100 ml
  • Sugar for serving – 20 g

Directions

  1. Grate the melted cheese on a coarse grater. Transfer the grated cheese to a deep bowl.
  2. Pour baking soda into lemon juice. Add the egg, sugar, and soda with lemon juice to the cheese. Stir.
  3. Sprinkle the prepared flour in portions.
  4. Knead a soft dough. It shouldn’t stick to your hands. The dough is very soft and tender to the touch. Cover with a cloth and let sit for 10 minutes.
  5. Roll a sausage out of the dough and cut it into portions. Dust the board with flour if necessary. I got 12 pieces weighing 30-35 g.
  6. Roll a thin flagellum from each piece of dough and connect the edges to form a ring.
  7. Pour oil into a deep frying pan and heat it well. Dip a wooden skewer in hot oil, if the oil around it starts to sizzle, then the oil is well heated. Make the heat just below average. Lower the rings. Cook for 2-4 minutes on one side, until golden brown.
  8. Gently turn the donuts over and continue frying in the same mode until the other side is golden.
  9. Place donuts on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Cool slightly.
