Crumpets with Sour Cream

Cooking delicious crumpets from a simple yeast dough. You do not have to knead the dough for a long time with your hands, you can cook it with a spatula and a bowl. The dough is pleasant when cut. Serve the crumpets with homemade sour cream. Enjoy your meal!

Ingredients

  • Flour – 400 g
  • Dry yeast – 1 teaspoon.
  • Warm milk – 200 ml
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
  • Sour cream (homemade) – to taste
  • Sugar to taste

Directions

  1. Pour some warm milk into a bowl and dilute the yeast in it.
    Pour in the remaining milk.
    In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with a fork and pour over the milk, also add the vegetable oil, mix.
  2. Pour in all the flour and knead the dough, it will stick. Cover the dough with a towel and leave at room temperature for 1 hour.
    After an hour, knead the dough and leave for 40 minutes. It should rise.
  3. Lubricate the surface and hands with vegetable oil. We make a sausage from the dough and divide into 12 equal parts. We form balls.
  4. We make a cake from each ball.
  5. We fry the crumpet in heated vegetable oil on both sides.
  6. Lubricate the hot crumpet with sour cream and sprinkle with sugar.
    Serve hot crumpets with sour cream and sugar.
