Ingredients
- 250 g wheat flour
- 250 g low-fat quark
- 1 pinch (s) salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 egg (s)
- 1 packet baking powder
- Lemon zest, grated

- Preheat the oven to 200 °
- Knead all ingredients together quickly and form a long loaf.
- Line a loaf pan with baking paper (leave generous edges) and add the dough.
- Bake for about 30 minutes on the middle rack (try with wooden sticks to see if it`s done), after about 15 minutes beat the baking paper over the bread so that it doesn`t get too dark and the crust too hard.
- Let cool on a wire rack.
- Depending on your taste, the lemon peel can be left out or replaced with vanilla sugar. In that case, use less sugar, otherwise it will be too sweet.
