Dumplings with Сottage Сheese and Сracklings

The national dish of Ukrainian cuisine, very tasty and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese – 150 g
  • For the test:
  • Wheat flour – 1 tablespoon.
  • Chicken egg – 1 pc.
  • Water – 1/2 tablespoon.
  • Salt to taste
  • For greaves:
  • 150 g lard

Directions

  1. Bring water to a boil. Pour 50 g of flour into boiling water, stir thoroughly and remove the mixture from heat. Cool slightly and add the remaining flour, salt and egg. Knead the dough. Separate small portions of the dough with a spoon, dip in boiling salted water and cook until tender. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and place on a plate.
  2. Preheat a frying pan. Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry until golden brown. Salt.
  3. Add cottage cheese and cracklings to the dumplings, mix.
