- 1 slice / n toast bread
- 2 pinches butter, salted
- 4 pinches peanut butter, well pureed
- 3 pinches jam, according to the child`s taste

- There are recipes that make you shake. Nevertheless, I would like to post a very simple recipe from my childhood that is especially valuable for sick children.
- Ingredients:
- Slices of toast, salted butter or very fine-grained (!!) salt spread with butter, creamy peanut butter (except for those with a corresponding allergy!), Jam to suit the child`s taste.
- Toast the bread, brush with the salted butter, peanut butter and jam and serve warm. No child denies the scent.
- Background: feverish children lose salt and need energy, but often do not want to eat.
- This toast gives you minerals, fats and carbohydrates, all on a slice of bread.
- The jam prevents the peanut paste from sticking in the mouth if the mouth is dry (often with a fever). The salty butter promotes salivation, and the sweet jam is good for the soul.
- So it was always good for me when I was sick as a child and I still give myself such a mixture occasionally, but then with much more sophisticated jams or chutneys.
- For adults, I recommend the jam variants with orange peel or ginger.
