Instructions

  1. Sprinkle the yeast cube with the sugar and gradually stir both together until the yeast has dissolved. It takes a little.
  2. Put the flour, lukewarm water and the dissolved yeast-sugar mixture in a bowl and stir to form a dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about half an hour until the dough forms bubbles.
  3. Now add the 800 g flour, salt and spices. Melt the butter and add it with the water and work everything into a smooth dough.
  4. Flour the work surface a little and knead the dough well again by hand, then flour the dough and return to the bowl. Close the bowl with the corresponding lid and let rise for about 2 - 3 hours.
  5. Flour the work surface again and knead and shape the dough again well and then place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  6. Preheat the oven to 200 °.
  7. You can now cut into the bread as you like on the surface with a knife and brush with milk or butter. I made it with butter.
  8. When the oven has reached temperature, insert the tray with the dough blank and bake for about 45 minutes. Then do a knock test. If it sounds hollow, place on a slatted frame, cover with a cloth and let cool down.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
