Fettuccine, Chicken and Zucchini Casserole with Cheese

A casserole with fettuccine, zucchini, and chicken is the perfect dish for a hearty lunch or dinner. This recipe has everything you need – nutritious fettuccine, tender zucchini, and healthy chicken.

Ingredients

  • Fettuccine – 250 g
  • Zucchini – 200 g
  • Chicken fillet – 200 g
  • Canned tomatoes in pieces in their own juice (or fresh) – 200 g
  • Onions – 70 g
  • Hard cheese – 70 g
  • Cream 10% – 180 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Ground paprika – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Vegetable oil – 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare products for casseroles with fettuccine, courgettes, and chicken. I take canned tomatoes in my own juice, you can use fresh tomatoes.
  2. Wash the chicken fillet, dry with napkins, then cut into medium cubes.
  3. Peel the onion, rinse and cut into small cubes. Heat 2 tbsp butter in a skillet, add chicken, and fry over medium heat.
  4. When the chicken begins to set, that is, a crust forms from below, add the onion. Stir and fry everything together for 4-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add tomatoes (if you are using fresh, then chop the pulp in advance) and mix. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 3-4 minutes. The meat is ready.
  6. Boil fettuccine in salted water: dip the pasta in boiling water and cook for 7-8 minutes. Drain the water. Rinse the zucchini, cut off the tails, cut into rings 0.5 cm thick.
  7. Quickly fry vegetables in a pan with the addition of 1.5 tbsp vegetable oil until the courgettes are golden brown. They can be slightly undercooked, they will reach in the oven.
  8. Prepare the filling: mix cream, paprika in a container, drive-in chicken eggs.
  9. Grate hard cheese there. Squeeze the garlic through the garlic. Pouring can be salted and pepper if desired. Fold the fettuccine into a baking dish.
  10. Spread meat and tomatoes on top of the pasta. Place the fried zucchini on top of the meat.
  11. Pour the cream cheese filling over the dish. Put in a preheated oven and bake for 25-35 minutes at 180 degrees. Remove the prepared casserole from the oven and cool slightly. Serve to the table.
