Instructions

  1. Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well. Crumble in the yeast and sprinkle the sugar on top. Add a little water and mix with a little flour to make a pre-dough. Let it rise for about 15 minutes. Then add the salt and the rest of the water little by little (you may not need everything) and knead into a smooth dough. Dust the herbs with a little flour and work them in together with the oil while kneading. Let the dough rise for about half an hour, it should double in size.
  2. Then divide into 2 equal parts, roll out and roll into baguettes.
  3. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, brush with a little water and cut some grooves with a sharp knife. Cover and let rise for another 15 minutes, then brush with milk and sprinkle with roughly chopped sunflower seeds. Bake at 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Tip:
  5. If you want, you can also roll up a thin strand of garlic butter, it tastes very delicious!
