Fish Baked with Noodles and Cheese

Oven-baked tilapia fillet with noodles and cheese is an original lunch dish. It would seem a strange combination, fish, and pasta, but it turns out very tasty, unexpected, and unusual. Everyone should try it!

Cook: 55 minutes

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • Tilapia fillet – 300 g
  • Vermicelli – 140 g
  • Sunflower oil – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Hard cheese – 50 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Rub the fish fillets with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Leave the fish to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Grease a baking dish (I have a glass one) with sunflower oil.
  3. Pour vermicelli on the bottom.
  4. Pour the vermicelli with warm boiled water (about 1 cup). The water level should be about 1 cm higher than the vermicelli. Salt a little. Do not stir.
  5. Place the tilapia fillets on top of the vermicelli.
  6. Cover the tin with foil and place in the oven (I put the glass pan in the cold oven).
  7. Bake the fish and noodles in the oven for 25 minutes. Take out the form, remove the foil.
  8. Sprinkle the fish with finely grated cheese.
  9. Put the fish and noodles back in the oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes without foil.
