Fresh Cabbage Solyanka with Rice and Sausages

No time to cook dinner at all? Then the recipe for a hodgepodge of fresh cabbage with rice will appeal to you. Stewed cabbage with rice is a delicious and satisfying dish for the whole family.

Ingredients

  • White cabbage – 1/2 pc.
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Sausages – 200 g
  • Tomato paste – 3-4 tablespoons
  • Pickled cucumbers – 5-6 pcs.
  • Salt to taste
  • Spices to taste

Directions

  1. Wash, cut in half and chop the cabbage.
  2. Peel the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater. Can be cut into cubes.
  3. Peel the onion and cut into cubes.
  4. Wash cucumbers and cut into slices. You don’t have to add them if you are using sauerkraut. I always cook a hodgepodge of fresh cabbage, as I disliked sauerkraut.When all the products are prepared, proceed directly to the preparation of the hodgepodge.
  5. Rinse the rice. Do not take too much, otherwise it will not be a cabbage hodgepodge, but a rice dish 🙂
  6. Preheat a frying pan, fry the onion in a little vegetable oil.
  7. Then add the carrots to the pan with onions.
  8. In the container in which you will cook the hodgepodge, pour the cabbage, salt and add half a glass of water.
  9. Pour rice on top.
  10. Then add the sauteed carrots and onions. Close the lid. And simmer over medium heat for 25-30 minutes
  11. Add the cucumbers over time.
  12. Cut the sausages into slices. When there is no time to cook meat dishes, sausages always “save” 🙂
  13. Add the sausages to the pot.
  14. Next – tomato paste and spices. Mix.
  15. Simmer for another 5 minutes and can be removed from heat.
  16. Fresh cabbage solyanka is ready! 🙂
