Instructions

  1. I tested this dish today and thought it was just wonderful!
  2. Simply spread out one or two layers of aluminum foil on a baking sheet and fold up about 4 cm on the sides so that no liquid can escape later.
  3. Halve the large onion and cut each half into thin slices. Halve or quarter the tomatoes, depending on the size. Peel the garlic cloves and cut into thin slices.
  4. Put the olive oil on the aluminum foil. First place onions, then tomatoes and then garlic on the aluminum foil and crumble the sheep`s cheese over it. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and (very important!) Sugar. The sugar makes onions and garlic very mild.
  5. Put in the oven. I have a gas stove, so it took about 30 minutes for the tomatoes to have the right consistency on level 6-7. With an electric stove (I can be wrong) this corresponds to 180 degrees top / bottom heat and takes 45 minutes.
  6. Then I simply lifted everything into a bowl and forked out of the foil. But I can also imagine it to be great on white bread or with potatoes and meat or fish.
