Fried Green Tomatoes

Fried tomatoes are a fairly common dish in America, although it seems somewhat unusual to us. It turns out that green tomatoes are very tasty when fried – they are somewhat reminiscent of fried zucchini, but with a brighter taste and original sourness. Dip green tomato slices in flour, dip in an egg, and fry – a good appetizer or addition to the main course!

Ingredients
- Green tomatoes – 350 g
- Wheat flour – 200 g
- Eggs – 2 pcs.
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper – to taste
- Vegetable oil (for frying) – 100 ml
Directions
- Essential products.
- Cut the tomatoes into slices about 5 mm thick.
- Salt and pepper.
- Break eggs into a deep bowl.
- Add salt and beat with a whisk.
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat about 2 tablespoon. tablespoons of vegetable oil.
Roll each tomato circle in flour. - Then dip it in the egg mixture.
- After that, roll it in flour again.
- We spread the tomato slices in a frying pan preheated with vegetable oil.
- Fry the tomatoes over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Thus, fry all the tomato slices, adding vegetable oil as necessary.
If desired, the fried tomatoes can be laid out on a paper napkin to absorb excess oil.
- We serve fried green tomatoes hot, but also very tasty cold.
