Ingredients

  • 2 shallot (s), or one medium-sized. onion
  • Olives, green and black
  • Chilli pepper (s), dried, or piri-piri from the glass
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • olive oil
  • butter
  • 24 prawns
  • some brandy
  • some wine, white

Instructions

  1. Prepare 4 ovenproof dishes and preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Cut 3 green and 3 black olives into slices for each bowl and place in the bowls. Also cut 3 chilli peppers into slices per bowl and place in the bowls. Cut the garlic cloves into cubes and distribute them on the skins. Then fill the bowls about a finger`s width with oil.
  3. Cut the shallots into small cubes and sauté in a pan with butter for about 3 minutes. Then put the prawns in the pan and fry with the shallots for another 3 - 5 minutes. Then flambé with brandy and deglaze with a little white wine.
  4. Spread the prawns with the shallots on the bowls and place in the oven. When the oil begins to simmer in the bowls, remove the bowls and serve.
  5. Serve with baguette.
  6. A light, dry white wine goes well with it.
