Ingredients

  • 1 roll, Röggelchen (crispy rye roll)
  • 2 slices cheese, (Gouda) at least finger thick
  • 8 thin spring onion (s)
  • Mustard, milder
  • butter

Instructions

  1. The Röggelchen are halved. Each half is coated with butter (NO margarine !!) as desired.
  2. Place a thick slice of cheese on each half of the roll smeared with butter and brush with mustard. Then add the finely chopped spring onions and serve.
  3. The Kölsch basic recipe consists of normal onions instead of spring onions and spicy mustard is used instead of mild mustard. Otherwise it is the same.
  4. The taste of the spring onions and the mild mustard is well suited for beginners and also gentler on the stomach.
