Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 300 g butter
  • 300 g suar
  • 450 g flour
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 150 g chocolate or 30 bakin cocoa

For the filling:

  • 3 egg whites
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 250 g almonds, round

For the glaze:

  • 250 g powdered suar
  • some lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Sift 450 g flour into a large bowl
  2. Add 300 g butter, 300 g sugar, 1 packet vanilla sugar, 150 g finely grated chocolate (or 30 g baking cocoa), 1 egg yolk, and 1 whole egg
  3. Using a dough hook or by hand, knead everything into a smooth dough
  4. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 1 hour
  5. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  6. Divide the chilled dough into 4 equal pieces
  7. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the first piece to approximately the size of a large rectangular baking sheet
  8. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with baking paper
  9. Roll out the second piece and place it over the first piece of dough
  10. Press down on the edges to seal
  11. Roll out and layer the remaining 2 pieces of dough in the same way
  12. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 180°C (350°F) until golden brown
  13. Remove from oven and cool for about 5 minutes
  14. While still warm, cut into oblong slices
