Homemade Halva

At home, halva is prepared quickly and easily. It turns out such halva is very tasty, tender and moderately sweet. To implement the recipe, you need only 4 ingredients: seeds, flour, sugar and butter.

Ingredients

  • Sunflower seeds, peeled – 400 g
  • Flour- 150 g
  • Sugar – 100 g
  • Butter – 100 g
  • Water – 100 ml

Directions

  1. Fry the seeds in a dry frying pan until light golden brown. Do not overdo them, otherwise they will taste bitter. Pour the seeds into the bowl of the food processor and grind into small crumbs. Pour flour into the freed pan and, stirring, fry it until light golden.
  2. In a saucepan, combine water and sugar, put on low heat and, stirring to dissolve the sugar, bring the syrup to a boil. Boil it for 3 minutes. Add butter and simmer for another 7 minutes over low heat. Combine the ground seeds and flour together. Pour in the syrup and mix thoroughly.
  3. Transfer the resulting mass to a suitable form and tamp. Send the form with halva to the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Halva is ready.
