Ingredients

  • 2 kohlrabi, and some green
  • 1 zucchini, yellow if possible
  • 2 thick onion (s), red
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 100 ml water or milk
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • a bit salt
  • some nutmeg
  • some garlic

Instructions

  1. Finely dice the kohlrabi, for young kohlrabi also with the skin, cut the kohlrabi green into small pieces and set aside, cut the onions into cubes.
  2. Heat a pan with 2 tablespoons of butter, brown the onions lightly, then add the kohlrabi sticks, pour 2 tablespoons of sugar over them and stir, fry everything lightly. Add water and simmer gently in a closed pot for about 5 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, finely grate the zucchini, peel if you like, and remove the kernels and the soft inner meat beforehand. Add the zucchini and kohlrabi green, stir everything together and let it steep for another 2 minutes.
  4. Increase the heat, mix the flour with the whipped cream and add, stir everything well and turn off the stove. Season with nutmeg and salt, if you like you can add the garlic, but it also tastes good without it.
