Lavash Pie with Minced Chicken and Cabbage

Today I propose to make an original lavash pie with minced chicken and cabbage. Making such a cake is easy because you don’t have to mess with the dough. Thanks to the stuffing of minced meat and vegetables, the dish turns out to be tender, juicy, and satisfying.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Thin lavash – 150 g (3 pcs.)
  • Chicken fillet – 300 g
  • White cabbage – 300 g
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Hard cheese – 80 g
  • Eggs (large) – 3 pcs.
  • Sour cream – 2 tbsp
  • Milk – 3 tbsp
  • Salt – 2 pinches (to taste)
  • Ground black pepper – 2 pinches (to taste)
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp

Directions

  1. Prepare foods according to the list. Take lavash according to the size of your baking dish, I have round lavash. Peel, wash, and dry carrots and onions.
  2. Wash the chicken fillet, dry it, and pass it through a meat grinder with a large wire rack. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, cut the onion into small cubes. Chop the cabbage into a long thin strip (on a grater or with a knife).
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan, add cabbage, onions, and carrots. Fry vegetables, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes.
  4. Then add minced chicken to the pan, a pinch of salt and pepper. If desired, you can add chopped herbs and seasonings to your taste.
  5. Stir the contents of the pan, crushing the minced meat with a spatula. Fry all 10 minutes. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
  6. Drive eggs into a bowl. Then add sour cream and milk to the eggs. Pour in a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk all ingredients until smooth. Grate hard cheese on a medium grater.
  7. Put a sheet of pita bread on the bottom of the baking dish. Cut the lavash to the size of your shape or fold the edges, like mine. Pour 3-4 tablespoon on top. tablespoons of egg and sour cream filling and evenly distribute over the pita bread. Put half of the minced meat with vegetables on the pita bread, flatten. Sprinkle 1/3 of the grated cheese on top.
  8. Put a sheet of lavash on top of the cheese, pour 3 tbsp of egg and sour cream filling, distribute over the pita bread.
  9. Put the remaining minced meat with cabbage, flatten. Sprinkle 1/3 of the cheese on top.
  10. Put the remaining pita bread on the cheese. I immediately cut a sheet of pita bread into portioned pieces (4 pieces), to make it easier to cut the ready-made pie.
  11. Pour the pita bread with the remaining egg-sour cream mixture, distribute it evenly and sprinkle with the remaining cheese on top.
  12. Send the mold to the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until a brown cheese crust appears on the cake (be guided by your oven).
  13. Remove the finished pita bread with minced chicken and cabbage from the mold and cool slightly. Cut the lavash pie into portions and serve.
