Lazy Khachapuri (Сheese Сakes in a Pan)

Cheese cake with dill, cooked in a pan, tastes like khachapuri (traditional Georgian cheese pie), but it is much easier and faster to prepare. For breakfast with hot sweet coffee, lazy khachapuri will be an ideal option for all lovers of cheese delights!

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Fresh dill – 10 g
  • Sour cream – 80 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Flour – 1 tbsp
  • Sunflower oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients you need.
  2. Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater and transfer to a bowl.
  3. Rinse the dill, chop it.
  4. Add dill to cheese.
  5. Add sour cream, egg, flour, salt and black pepper to this.
  6. Stir the ingredients with a spoon. This will make a dough-like mixture.
  7. Heat the sunflower oil in a skillet and lay out the cheese mixture, leveling the surface.
  8. Cover the skillet with a lid, reduce heat to low and cook the cheesecake in the skillet for 5 minutes.
  9. When the cheesecake is fried from below and the surface stops sticking, remove the lid from the pan.
  10. Turn the cheese cake over to the other side, cover the pan with a lid again and fry for another 3-4 minutes, also over low heat.
  11. Put the finished khachapuri cheese cake on a plate.
  12. Serve hot khachapuri for breakfast or as a snack.
