Lemon Jelly Candies

Lemon jelly candies are natural and healthy. These sweets have a wonderful citrus aroma and a pleasant sweet and sour taste. From a minimum of simple products, you can make such a delicious treat!

Ingredients

  • Lemon – 200 g
  • Gelatin – 30 g
  • Powdered sugar – 70 g
  • Water – 350 ml

Directions

  1. We prepare the necessary products.
  2. Add 100 ml of water at room temperature to the gelatin.
  3. Leave to swell for 10 minutes.
  4. We wash the lemon well and remove the zest with a grater. Remove only the top yellow part. It turns out about 2 tbsp of zest. Then squeeze the juice out of the lemons. You get 100 ml of juice.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine 250 ml of water with powdered sugar.
  6. Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 2 minutes.
  7. Add lemon zest and juice to the boiling syrup.
  8. Boil the mass for another 3-4 minutes over low heat.
  9. Turn off the heat and add the swollen gelatin to the hot mass.
  10. Stir to dissolve the gelatin completely.
  11. Then we filter the syrup through a fine sieve. The zest is no longer needed.
  12. Pour the lemon mass into any silicone candy molds.
  13. Put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or in the freezer for 10 minutes. I made several batches of candies, which I left to freeze in the freezer one by one.
  14. Remove the frozen lemon sweets from the mold and transfer them to a plate.
  15. Lemon jelly candies are ready! Store them in the refrigerator. Bon Appetit!
