Ingredients

  • 180 g butter, soft
  • 185 g suar, brown
  • 60 ml maple syrup
  • 1 vanilla pod (s)
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 280 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 125 g nuts, (pecans), finely chopped
  • Nuts, (pecans) cut in half

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter and sugar with the mixer until creamy. Mix the maple syrup into the butter mixture. Beat in the pulp of the vanilla pod and the egg. Sieve the flour and baking powder and work everything into a smooth dough. Divide the dough into two equal portions. Shape each portion of dough into a firm roll and toss in the chopped pecans. Let both rolls rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Cut the dough rolls into 1 cm thick slices and decorate each slice with half a pecan nut. Place the slices about 3 cm apart on the baking sheets. Put in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
