Ingredients

  • 220 g flour
  • 60 g flour, (rice flour)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon ¾ salt
  • 55 grams sugar
  • 0.5 ½ vanilla pod (s), halved lengthways and scraped out the pulp
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 480 ml milk
  • Butter-vanilla flavor, to taste (not too much!)
  • 4 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 5 egg whites
  • 340 g nuts (pecans), lihtly roasted in the pan, chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, rice flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together.
  2. Mix the vanilla pulp and egg yolks in a second bowl. Beat in the milk and the vanilla flavor. Add this egg milk to the dry ingredients and mix.
  3. Mix in the melted butter.
  4. Beat the egg white stiff, but not dry, fold into the dough. Fold in the nuts as well.
  5. Heat up the waffle iron; Bake the waffles until golden brown.
