Ingredients

  • 440 g flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 225 g butter, softened
  • 200 g suar, brown (moist)
  • 240 ml maple syrup
  • 1 g e (s), lihtly whisked
  • 40 g powdered suar, for dustin

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees. Grease four baking sheets with butter.
  2. Sieve the flour, baking soda and salt together. Beat the butter and the moist brown sugar until creamy. Add the syrup and egg and keep beating until they are just blended. Mix in dry ingredients.
  3. Shape the mixture into walnut-sized balls and place them 5 cm apart on the baking sheets, flattening each ball lightly.
  4. Bake only one tray at a time per cycle, for about 8-10 minutes or until they are light brown.
  5. Place on wire rack to cool, dust with icing sugar when cold.
  6. Shelf life: approx. 2 weeks
