- 1 vanilla pod (s)
- 2 banana (s)
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 3 tablespoon orange juice
- 4 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon rum, brown
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

- Cut the vanilla pod lengthways and scrape out the pulp with a sharp knife. Peel the bananas and cut in half lengthways.
- Heat the butter, maple syrup and vanilla pulp in a pan and caramelize until light brown. Carefully turn the banana halves in the caramel. Pour in the orange and lemon juice and possibly rum and bring to the boil briefly.
- Take the bananas out of the pan, place them on plates and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream each. Pour the pan sauce over it and serve immediately.
