Meat Casserole “Tasty Volcano”

We bring to your attention a recipe for a festive hot main dish – meat casserole “Tasty volcano”. The recipe for the dish is quite simple and low-cost, and most importantly, very effective and unusual. Therefore, be sure to stock up on a recipe so as not only to surprise guests with the taste of the casserole but also to surprise the external design of the dish.
Ingredients
- Chicken leg – 1 pc.
- Minced pork – 500 g
- Potatoes – 5 pcs.
- Eggs – 2 pcs.
- Bulb onions – 1 pc.
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper – to taste
- Green onion – 3-4 feathers
- Mayonnaise – 3 tbsp
- Ketchup – 3 tbsp
- Egg shell (for decoration) – 0.5 pcs.
Directions
- Cook the chicken leg in salted water for 20-25 minutes. Then we disassemble the cooled meat into pieces, which we chop finely. Add one finely chopped garlic clove to the chicken meat.
- Boil peeled potatoes in salted water until cooked for 20-25 minutes. Knead it in mashed potatoes. During the warm-up process, add one egg to the puree.
- Add onion and garlic grated on a fine grater to the minced meat. Also add one egg, pepper, and salt to the minced meat.
- We form the dish. In the middle of the heat-resistant form or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spread the chopped chicken meat with garlic in a slide.
- We put a layer of minced meat on the mashed potatoes with wet hands, gently level it over the entire surface, even as if we were “slapping” it to the potatoes.
- At the top of our almost finished volcano, we make a “crater”, namely, in a small depression, we put a washed half of an eggshell.
- Cooking meat casserole with potatoes in a preheated oven for 20 minutes at a temperature of 160 degrees. Cover the top of the “crater” of the volcano with a piece of foil so as not to burn out.
- 5 minutes before the end of cooking, pour the “volcano” with mayonnaise and ketchup (we make lava flows). Sprinkle the bottom of the plate, namely around the “volcano” itself, with finely chopped green onions.
