Mini Puffs with Sausage and Cheese

A simple and tasty snack based on ready-made puff pastry – delicious mini-puffs stuffed with sausage and cheese. Such a beautiful dish is very easy to prepare in a short time. A great alternative to your usual breakfast sandwiches or a simple snack for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry – 250 g
  • Boiled sausage – 100 g
  • Hard cheese – 70 g
  • Dried basil – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Egg (for greasing the dough) – 1 pc.

Directions

  1. Prepare foods on the list. Puffs with sausage and cheese are prepared quickly enough, so it is better to turn on the oven in advance to heat up to 180 degrees.
  2. Grate the sausage on a coarse grater.
  3. Grate the cheese also on a coarse grater.
  4. Combine chopped sausage and cheese in a deep bowl and add basil and oregano.
  5. Roll out the finished puff pastry into a thin layer about 3-4 mm thick.
  6. Put the filling on the dough, spread over the entire surface, leaving a couple of centimeters free on one edge.
  7. Start rolling the roll, pressing on all sides.
  8. Roll up the roll, pinch the edge where there is no filling. Leave the roll in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
  9. Then cut the roll into small pieces 1.5-2 cm thick.
  10. Break the egg into a separate bowl and shake with a fork or brush.
  11. Place the pieces on a baking sheet and brush with a beaten egg. Place in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for about 15-20 minutes.
  12. Then cool the finished puffs slightly and transfer them to a plate.
  13. Serve puffs with cheese and sausage to the table, garnish with herbs if desired.
