Heart Puffs with Cheese

Prepare your strong half with cheese puffs, shape them into a heart – and your man will appreciate it. Serve the puffs with tea, spicy soup or beer. However, the female half will be delighted with the cheese puffs.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry (yeast or yeast-free) – 500 g
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Flour – for dusting (for working with dough)
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp (for greasing parchment)

Directions

  1. Prepare puff pastry and cheese. Defrost the dough.
  2. Grate the cheese.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry thinner, dusting the table with flour so that it does not stick. Try to give the dough a flat rectangular shape.
  4. Put the grated cheese on the dough and evenly spread over the entire surface.
  5. Roll a layer of puff pastry with cheese from both sides to the middle. For convenience, the middle can be marked.
  6. Cut the puff pastry roll with cheese across into pieces 2-3 centimeters wide. Pull the dough in the middle of each piece and fix it harder to give the puffs the shape of a heart (it is desirable that the “tail” of the dough is slightly larger than in the photo, so that the puffs-hearts do not lose their shape during baking).
  7. Put baking paper on a baking sheet, drizzle a little with butter and put the cheese puffs at some distance from each other.
  8. Bake puffs with cheese in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes, until the dough is browned.
  9. Cheese puffs are ready.
