Mini Puffs “Buttons” with Sausages

A tasty and interesting snack made from ready-made puff pastry with sausages is prepared very easily and quickly. Such cute puff buttons will appeal to both adults and children, perfect for morning tea or coffee, and can even become a great alternative to canapés for a festive table. Be sure to cook, it’s so easy!

Ingredients

  • Yeast-free puff pastry (ready-made) – 0.5 kg
  • Sausages – 4 pcs. (300 g)
  • Egg – 1 pc.

Directions

  1. Let’s prepare products according to the list. Take the puff pastry out of the freezer and let it thaw a little. I have a pack of four-plate puff pastry. Blanks for button pies are prepared very quickly, so we turn on the oven and set the temperature to 180 degrees.
  2. We cut each layer of dough into 8 squares (with a diagonal of about 15-20 cm). I got 32 squares.
  3. Cover the baking sheet with parchment. We spread the blanks-squares on it.
  4. Break the egg into a deep bowl and beat a little with a fork or whisk.
  5. Lubricate each square of dough with a beaten egg.
  6. Cut the sausages into slices about 1.5-2 cm thick. It is best to focus on the size of the sausages. I cut each sausage into 8 pieces and I ended up with 32 pieces.
  7. Put the pieces of sausages in the center of the squares and press them a little into the dough.
  8. We put the puffs in the oven.
  9. We bake mini-puffs “Buttons” with sausages at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes.
  10. We take the ready-made savory puff buttons with sausages out of the oven, cool slightly and serve.
