Miracle Sandwich with Goat Cheese and Apples

The prepared toast is covered with cheese filling with the aroma of baked garlic, baked apples are laid out on top and a hot sandwich with cheese and apples, and walnuts are sprinkled on top.

Ingredients

  • Garlic – 2 heads
  • Large apples (cut into slices) – 2 pcs.
  • Goat cheese (crumbled) – 1/2 cup
  • Whole-wheat baguette – 1/2 pc.
  • Walnuts (roasted, chopped) – 1/4 cup

How to make hot apple and cheese sandwiches:

Directions

  1. Place two baking sheets in the oven, one in the middle position and the other on the high one. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees. From each head of garlic, cut off the top of about 0.5 cm, wrap the garlic in foil, and put on a baking sheet located in the upper position (this baking sheet must first be covered with parchment). Bake the garlic for about 30-35 minutes, until tender.
  2. On the parchment, next to the garlic, put the apples in one layer and bake with the garlic for the last 15 minutes. Then remove the baking sheet from the oven, remove the garlic from the foil and let cool.
  3. Squeeze the cooled garlic into a bowl, add cheese and mash the contents of the bowl with a fork, stir until smooth. Set the bowl aside.
  4. Cut the baguette into 18 slices and place on a baking sheet in the middle position in the oven. Fry the croutons for 6-8 minutes, until golden brown (you can toast the baguette in a toaster).
  5. Grease each toast with about 2 teaspoons of the cheese-garlic mixture and top with the apple slices. Sprinkle toasted walnuts on the cheese and apple sandwiches.
