Ingredients

  • 8 steak (s), e.g. from an ostrich
  • 1 large onion (s), diced
  • 2 canned tomato (s)
  • 150 ml tomato ketchup
  • 75 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 100 ml chutney (e.g. mango chutney)
  • 0.5 ½ cup sugar, brown
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Tabasco
  • 75 ml water
  • some oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan. Stew the onions and garlic until everything is soft. Add the rest of the ingredients, except for the steaks, and mix well. Let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes. Fry the steaks separately. Finally pour the sauce over the steaks and serve with rice.
