Ingredients

  • 250 g smoked tofu
  • 50 g peanuts
  • 4 burger buns
  • 2 banana (s)
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoon sesame paste
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 50 grams flour
  • sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 beefsteak tomato (s)
  • 0.5 ½ cucumber (s)
  • iceberg lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard

Instructions

  1. Finely chop half a banana, the onion, the peanuts and the garlic. Mix in a bowl with the flour, mustard, soy sauce and sesame paste. Crumble the smoked tofu into small pieces and season with salt and pepper. Knead everything well until you get a nice mass. Form 4 burger patties out of it and dust them with a little flour on both sides.
  2. Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the patties on both sides until they are crispy. Be careful when turning, because they are not quite as stable, especially at the beginning.
  3. At the same time, caramelize the sugar in a pan if you like. Meanwhile, cut the remaining bananas into thin slices and when the sugar is caramelized add to the saucepan. Turn off the stove and take out the bananas.
  4. Roast burger buns (in the oven or on the toaster). Then spread peanut butter as you like, stack iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes and cucumber as you like, patty on top. If you want, even more peanut butter (mhhhh!) And, last but not least, the caramelized bananas. Put the lid on and serve
  5. It sounds strange at first but try it, it`s a pleasure. If you like, you can also add (vegan) mayo and ketchup.
