New Year’s tartlets “Pigs” with Pate

The current version of a snack for the New Year’s table 2019 is tartlets with liver pate, decorated in the form of cute pigs! The appetizer is prepared as easily and quickly as possible, because both tartlets and pate are used ready-made. But if you wish, you can prepare the baskets and filling for them yourself.

Ingredients

  • Shortcrust tartlets – 8 pcs.
  • Liver pate – 160 g
  • Sausages – 1 pc.
  • Black peppercorns – 16 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients you need to make the piglet tartlets.
  2. Put the finished shortcrust pastry tartlets on a plate.
  3. Spread the liver pate into the tartlets.
  4. Cut the sausage into 16 slices. Use a cocktail tube to make “spots” from 8 circles. Cut 8 more circles into halves – these will be “ears”.
  5. Arrange the “ears” and “patches” on the tartlets, imitating the faces of the pigs.
  6. Draw the eyes of the pigs with mayonnaise.
  7. Make the pupils of the pigs from black peppercorns (do not forget to warn the guests about this, you do not need to eat pepper).
  8. That’s all – the “Pig” tartlets are ready!
