  • 2 egg (s)
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 150 g powdered suar
  • 250 g butter
  • 1 lemon (s), grated zest
  • 300 grams flour
  • 2 egg yolks, for brushing
  • Sugar (hail sugar), for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs and pass the yolks through a sieve.
  2. Mix the mixture with the fresh egg yolk, powdered sugar, soft butter and lemon zest and then knead in the flour. Shape the dough into a ball and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  3. Then shape the dough into walnut-sized balls and form into strands 1/2 cm in diameter and 14 cm in length.
  4. Fold the rings together to form a wreath, place on a greased baking sheet, brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes.
