Ingredients

  • 350 g flour
  • 150 g flour (whole wheat)
  • 1 pack dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 300 ml water, warm
  • 80 g cashew nuts, unsalted
  • 125 g blue cheese (e.. Bleu d`Auverne or Goronzola)

Instructions

  1. Mix the two types of flour with the dry yeast and salt. Add the water and knead into a firm dough with your hands. Let it rise in a warm place for about half an hour.
  2. In the meantime, partially crush the cashew nuts, but leave some of them whole. Cut the blue cheese into cubes.
  3. After the rising time, knead the dough again and knead in the cashew nuts well distributed. Now tear off small amounts of dough with both hands and shape into palm-sized flatbreads. Put some cheese in the middle and seal the dough well over it. Shape around 15-20 small rolls in this way and do not put them too close to each other on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 ° C for about 15 minutes. The rolls burst a little on the side and lose a little melted cheese - then turn the rolls on their side and bake for about 5 minutes with the cheese on the top.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy quickly.
