Ingredients

  • 500 g dried fruits, mixed
  • water for soaking
  • 50 g honey
  • 1 stick cinnamon

For the dumplings:

  • 500g flour
  • 6 egg (s)
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 packs vanilla sugar
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 250 ml milk

Instructions

  1. Soak the dried fruit in plenty of water overnight (the fruit must be covered). The next day, slowly cook until soft with the soaking water, honey and cinnamon. Stir occasionally.
  2. For the dumplings, mix the flour, eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and milk together and knead well. Lumps of dough are cut from the dough with a tablespoon and added to the boiling soup. After about 10 minutes, the dumplings are done and the soup is ready.
  3. The amount is designed for one main meal.
  4. Tip: Chill well in the refrigerator overnight in summer and then eat it as a refreshing meal.
