Ingredients

  • 5 pomegranates
  • 1 dl grenadine syrup
  • 100 g suar
  • 1 lemon (s)
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 bottle sparkling wine

Instructions

  1. Bring the water with the sugar to the boil and let it simmer for five minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, cut the pomegranates in half and squeeze them like citrus fruits. Pour the juice obtained in this way through a fine sieve and measure 1/2 l of it. Squeeze the lemon and pour the juice through the sieve to the pomegranate juice. Mix in the grenadine syrup.
  3. Now add the still hot sugar syrup to the juice mixture and season with sugar or lemon juice, according to personal preferences.
  4. Pour the mixture into the freezer and stir repeatedly while freezing. It can take a few hours for the mass to freeze through.
  5. Take it out again shortly before serving, mash it up with a magic wand or blender and put the dumplings in, for example, champagne bowls. Pour in sparkling wine and serve.
