Potato Bagels with Cheese

Potato bagels with cheese are an original appetizer that will surprise you not only with its taste but also with its simplicity of preparation. Just a few ingredients and the result is crispy, tender potato dough and aromatic cheese filling.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 300 g
  • Wheat flour – 100 g + for working with dough
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable oil – 150-200 ml

Directions

  1. Peel and dice the potatoes.
  2. Fill the potatoes with water and cook for 15 minutes after boiling.
  3. Carefully drain the broth from the finished potatoes (you can put it in a colander). Knead the potatoes with a crush and let them cool completely.
  4. Three cheese on a fine grater.
  5. Put potatoes, half of the grated cheese, flour, and salt in a convenient bowl.
  6. We knead the dough.
  7. On a table well dusty with flour, roll out the dough into a layer 0.5 cm thick.
  8. We cut the dough layer into equal segments.
  9. Put a pinch of cheese on the edge of each segment (on the wide side).
  10. We form bagels by wrapping the filling in the dough.
  11. Heat a large amount of vegetable oil in a saucepan. Fry the bagels in portions and put them on a paper napkin so that the glass will have excess oil.
  12. Potato bagels with cheese are ready. Enjoy your meal!
