Potato Balls

A tasty and easy-to-prepare dish of mashed potatoes and hard cheese – potato meatballs.
Ingredients
- Potatoes – 10 pcs.
- Hard cheese – 70 g
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Salt to taste
- Breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil
- Butter
Directions
- Peel, wash, cut and boil the potatoes in salted water. Drain and leave to cool.
- Twist the cooled potatoes through a meat grinder. Grate cheese on a coarse grater.
- Beat the egg and combine with potatoes, pour grated cheese there. Stir well.
- Make blanks for the cue ball.
- Roll each piece in breadcrumbs and make shallow cuts in the form of a lattice.
- Heat vegetable oil, add butter to it.
- Put the potato meatballs in a preheated pan.
- Fry the potato balls on both sides until golden brown. Fry over medium-high heat.
- The mashed potatoes are ready. Potato balls can be served as a side dish or as a separate dish. I served with mushroom sauce (see ingredient list for recipe).
