- 1 packet puff pastry, in plates
- 100 g ham, juniper ham or hot-smoked ham
- 100 g cheese (Gouda), rated
- 1 large tomato (s), diced
- salt
- pepper
- basil
- 1 egg yolk

- Halve the defrosted puff pastry sheets to form squares. Then top it diagonally first with chopped ham and then with diced tomatoes and cheese. Season with the spices, not too hot! Take the unoccupied sides in the middle and press them together (so that they become little boats or cups). Brush with egg yolk and a little more cheese on top. Then in the oven for about 25 minutes at 200 °. It`s great when warm, but also tastes very good cold and is torn out of my hands at every picnic.
- You can fill the pieces with anything the fridge can offer. I also tried ham / mushrooms / cheese, ham / paprika / cheese, ham / onions / cheese, ham / caraway and Hawaii (ham / pineapple / cheese).
- With the amount you get 12 pieces, which I calculate for four people as a snack or buffet bonus.
