Puff Pastry Rolls with Minced Chicken and Mint

Hearty “weekend breakfast” – bagels made of puff yeast dough stuffed with minced chicken and mint. It is not difficult to prepare them – you only need ready-made puff pastry, minced meat and spices. The original combination of chicken and mint makes the bagels fragrant and very interesting to taste.

Ingredients

  • Yeast puff pastry – 500 g
  • Minced chicken – 250 g
  • Onions – 70 g
  • Dried or fresh mint – 10 leaves
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – 2 pinches
  • Flour (for burning) – 1 tbsp

For greasing bagels:

  • Egg – 1 pc.

To prepare the baking sheet:

  • Vegetable oil – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Prepare foods on the list. Remove the puff pastry from the packaging and let it thaw a little. Instead of minced chicken, you can use any other to your taste. If the minced meat is frozen, defrost it. Dried mint can be replaced with fresh mint. Peel the onion.
  2. Combine minced meat and chopped onion in a deep bowl.
  3. Crush dried mint leaves into minced meat. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Mix the minced meat thoroughly.
  5. Powder the board with flour and roll out the puff pastry into a layer about 3 mm thick.
  6. Cut the layer into 4 triangles. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
  7. On the widest part of each triangle of dough, place about 1 tbsp of filling.
  8. Starting at a wide edge, wrap the filled dough in a bagel.
  9. Pinch the edges slightly and give the bagel its characteristic crescent shape. In the same way, form bagels from the remaining dough and filling (I got 8 pieces). Cover a baking sheet with parchment for baking, grease with vegetable oil and lay out the blanks.
  10. Break the egg into a bowl and loosen it with a fork.
  11. Brush each bagel with an egg.
  12. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
  13. Incredibly delicious meat croissants with a light mint aroma and a beautiful golden brown crust are ready.
