  • 1 bag baking powder
  • 125 g low-fat quark
  • 1 teaspoon, leveled salt
  • 50 ml milk
  • 50 ml oil
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 100 g ham, Black Forest or cooked ham
  • 100 g butter cheese
  • some milk for the egg yolk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  2. Separate the egg and mix the yolks with a little milk.
  3. Mix the flour with the baking powder and place in a bowl. Add the quark, salt, milk, oil and egg white and quickly work everything into a dough with your hands. Do not knead for too long, otherwise the dough will start to stick and make further work more difficult.
  4. Roll out the finished dough on a work surface dusted with flour into a large circle so that it is approximately 25 cm in diameter. Now cut this dough slice with a sharp knife into 8 cake-like pieces of the same size and cover with the ham and cheese. Roll up the dough from the broad, lower side up to the tip and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush with egg milk and make all the other croissants in the same way.
  5. Put the rolled up pastries on the lower rail of the hot oven and bake for 25 minutes. Then take it out of the oven and let it cool down completely.
