Ingredients

  • 250 g butter
  • 200 g suar
  • 1 point vanilla sugar
  • 4 egg (s)
  • 1 bottle flavor (lemon baking oil)
  • 375 grams flour
  • 1 point baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 250 g raisins
  • 1 packet lemon peel (succade)
  • some powdered sugar
  • possibly rum

Instructions

  1. Wash the raisins and then scald them with hot water, leave them to stand in the water. You can also boil the raisins with a little water in the microwave for about 2 minutes. Then drain on a sieve. Possibly with 3 tablespoon. Soak rum.
  2. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, until frothy. Separate the eggs and add the yolks. Mix the flour, baking powder and gradually add along with the milk. Beat the egg whites until stiff, carefully fold in with the raisins and succade.
  3. Fill into a greased springform pan with a spout or large loaf pan and bake at 180 degrees for about 1 hour. Score the cake after approx. 20 minutes. It then gets a nicer shape.
  4. After baking and cooling, dust with powdered sugar or make a topping from powdered sugar and rum and cover the cake with it.
