Sausage Patties

These baked sausages (buns with sausages) can become a hit at children’s parties and picnics, because the yeast dough in these buns is soft and delicious. Enjoy your cooking!

Ingredients

  • Sausages – 16 pcs.

For the test:

  • Flour – 550 g
  • Milk – 250 ml
  • Fresh yeast – 30 g
  • Sugar – 4 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Butter – 100 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.

To grease the dough:

  • Egg yolk – 1 pc.
  • Milk – 2 tbsp
  • Sugar – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Sesame (optional) – to taste

Directions

  1. Heat the milk slightly until warm (38-40 degrees) and dissolve the yeast in it. Add sugar and salt and stir.
  2. Melt the butter, cool slightly and pour into the milk-yeast mixture.
  3. Add eggs.
  4. Add sifted flour in portions and knead the dough. Knead for at least 10 minutes.
    Place the dough in a large bowl, cover with a towel and leave to rise in a quiet, draft-free place for 1.5 hours.
  5. After an hour and a half, the dough will increase in volume by 2-3 times.
  6. Put the matched dough on a work surface, lightly sprinkled with flour, and knead.
  7. Divide the dough into several pieces of equal weight. The number and size of buns may vary and depend on the size of the sausages.
  8. Lightly roll each piece of dough into a flat cake. Put a sausage on one side (or half the sausage if they are very large), cut the other side of the dough into strips about 1 cm wide.
  9. Gently wrap the sausage in the dough starting from the whole edge and cover with strips of dough. Pinch the dough strips from below, close the sides of the sausages with dough and thus form a bun. Shape all sausage buns in this way.
  10. Turn on the oven to heat up to 190 degrees. Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper, spread the buns (sausages in the dough) at a distance from each other and leave to proof for 20 minutes, covered with a towel.
  11. Mix the yolk with milk, finish off 0.5 teaspoons of granulated sugar. Before baking, grease buns with this mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  12. Bake yeast dough buns for 25-30 minutes, until lightly browned.
