Snack Cake with Crab Filling

A snack cake with crab filling is an excellent option for a New Year’s table snack, which, believe me, will simply be instantly swept off the table, despite the fact that it is made from familiar products.

Ingredients

  • Red salted fish – 150 Grams
  • Eggs – 2 Pieces
  • Sour cream or mayonnaise – 3-4 Art. spoons
  • Gelatin – 20 Grams
  • Crab sticks – 100 Grams
  • Salt – 1 Pinch

Directions

  1. Cut the crab sticks into small pieces and put them in a blender bowl, add 1 tbsp (or a little more) sour cream or mayonnaise (I use mayonnaise). Grind the crab sticks to a mushy state or a little coarser, as you like.
  2. Divide hard-boiled eggs into whites and yolks. Grate the proteins on a fine grater and mix with 1 tbsp sour cream or mayonnaise, crush the yolks with a fork and also mix with 1 tablespoon. a spoonful of sour cream or mayonnaise. It turned out 3 fillings for our snack cake.
  3. Soak gelatin for 10 minutes in cold water, then dissolve in a water bath or in the microwave, but never bring it to a boil. Then divide the gelatin into 3 equal parts and add each part to one of the fillings and mix.
  4. Cover a deep salad bowl with cling film. Spread slices of red fish over the entire surface of the bottom and walls.
  5. First, lay out the yolk-mayonnaise mass.
  6. Place the crab stick filling in the next layer.
  7. And lastly, lay out and spread the protein mass in an even layer. Send the cake to the refrigerator for 4 hours until it hardens completely.
  8. Turn the finished cake onto a plate, remove the cling film. Decorate the cake as desired. Serve chilled.
